I glad that someone finally did a report on this. I have stayed in many of 4 star hotels and on quite a few occassions found lipstick marks and also lint from a towel on drinking glasses that had been wrapped in plastic. If these hotels are use diswashing machines someone has to put them on a rack and see the lipstick on the glass. While this is fairly gross, I have to admit that a lot of what I am readin is paranoia. Susan Still, you are an idiot. I have worked in several resteraunts and several bars, some as a dishwasher and they use extremely acidic detergents to clean and sanitize their dishes, silverware and cookware.

Ew, so gross. Thankfully every hotel I've stayed in recently has had paper / individually wrapped cups. I.E: Comfort Inn and Motel 8

Many years ago I contracted giardia several days after staying at a hotel on the east side of LA. I was the only one in our family that used the drinking glasses as I was nursing a baby at the time and needed to drink alot of water. When my doctor confirmed the giardia, he asked if I had been camping or out of the country recently.
