These women are poorly paid, and have to clean a lot of rooms in a short amount of time, so it isn't their fault that they have to wash the glasses quickly with whatever they have on hand. Why freak out? Just don't use them or get plastic cups! Everyone knows hotel rooms are not that sanitary. |

Every time I stay in a hotel, I take a container of antibacterial wipes and wipe down the toilet, faucets, switches, remote, etc. I also never touch the bedspread since those are never washed, and I take my own pillow. I work in the medical field and have seen first hand what can be passed on from surface contact. You can't be too careful, but it's a good goal to have! |

And honestly, I'd rather have it ran through a dirty dishwasher with hot water than be sprayed with friggin Windex. I agree about just using plastic cups instead of the glass ones. It's probably cheaper that way anyways. And I doubt that hotel prices are going to skyrocket because of one little news story on glasses. The hotels won't do anything to change their ways. |
