09/10/2009 @ 04:54:26 PM: I work at one of the well-known hotels and just to let you know, even if you ask for a clean glass at the restaurant, it's unfortunate that they do the same thing there. The lipstick will be wiped off of a dirty rag. Too bad, so sad, but it's true!!!! |

08/07/2008 @ 07:12:37 AM: I used to do housekeeping few years ago and we where not suppose to take the glasses out of the room, just clean them in the dirty sink and dry them with the dirty towel. Another shocking thing, the toilet was cleaned with the dirty towels and then the sink and then it was used to dry the glasses. So think about the bacteria’s that where transformed from the toilet to the sink and then to the glasses. |

03/06/2008 @ 10:58:07 PM: It happened to me three weeks ago in Edmonton Alberta. We stayed at the Holiday Inn. I was very ill with the flu during our 4 day stay. Friday night we check in and I drink from a glass. It has an obvious crack in it and I tell the other two guests I am with "don't use the cracked glass, I am drinking from it". Next day, after our room has been cleaned, we return and I notice the same cracked glass. It appears clean and we all comment "gee, I hope they cleaned the glass!". I continue to u |

02/29/2008 @ 05:09:14 PM: I worked at a very high scale hotel as a housekeer for 5 months, and after the 5 months, I just couldnt take it any more. Not only do they not clean the glasses properly, the top blanket on the bed is changed so rarely, its not even fit. The floors are hardly ever vaccumed, unless there is something noticable on the floor, the bathroom floors are only wipped if there is something on them, the coffee maker and mugs are cleaned the exact same way the glasses are cleaned.
